My stress level is….GRRRR!!!
So…a lot has happened in the last week. I’m going to be moving. It’s very unexpected, but I really think it’s a good thing. My roommate’s little brother is in foster care, however the foster family no longer wants him. Unfortunately, his parents have signed over their rights to the state. I can’t imagine what that kid must be feeling or going through. So, my roommate had to make a very tough decision. She has decided to take him in and raise him. Keep in mind, she’s only 24. This is a very big deal, and I’ve told her all along that I respect her decision and I support her.
However, it’s caused me a lot of stress. In the end, I’ve decided to stay in the same apartment complex I’m in right now (she’s staying in the same complex too). I’ve heard horror stories about people who hate their apartment complexes, and I guess I’ve lucked into finding a wonderful, awesome place to live. I have no complaints whatsoever so I’m really happy to be able to stay put. I’m really nervous and anxious about living completely on my own though. I’ve done the roommate thing, and it was a good experience, but I think it’s about time to be on my own. Kim and I will still be neighbors, which I think will be nice.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m really excited. SCARED TO DEATH, but excited. My new place will be really nice. My closet is nearly twice as big, my bathroom is bigger and I have a garden tub now. I’m going to get another kitty once I get all moved in, and I’m super super excited about that. I still need dishes and a few small kitchen appliances (blender, mixer, crock pot, toaster and an iron) but other than that, I think I have everything that I need.
That’s about it for now as far as updates go. Here’s a pic of the new place…YAY!!!

I feel like I want to cry…
But the tears just won’t come. Is that because it’s not worth it? Or, that in the back of my mind I’ve been expecting this all along. Is it too much to hope that things would change? Is it silly that I’m naive enough to really think that they would?

Two Wolves…
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson
about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, “My son, the battle is between two
“wolves” inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow,
regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment,
inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility,
kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:
“Which wolf wins?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”
